About Course
The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Interior Systems (Construction) qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification for those working in the construction and the built environment sector working across a broad range of areas. It is designed to assess occupational competence in the workplace where candidates are required to demonstrate skills and knowledge to a level required in the construction industry.
There are 6 specialist pathways:
Pathway 1: Modular Demountable Partitioning
Pathway 2: Operable Partition Systems
Pathway 3: Glass Partition/Internal Screen Systems
Pathway 4: Dry Lining Fixing
Pathway 5: Access Flooring
Pathway 6: Acoustic Floor Installation.
This qualification is competence-based, candidates must demonstrate the level of
competence described in the units. Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s skill, knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification.
The qualifications must be assessed in a work environment and in accordance with the Construction Skills’ Consolidated Assessment Strategy for Construction and the Built Environment, and it must be internally assessed by an appropriately experienced and qualified assessor
Each candidate is required to produce a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates their
achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.

– record of oral and written questioning
– Recognition of Prior Learning
