OVERVIEW –
This Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Wall and Floor Tiling provides a work-based qualification aimed at learners working in construction, who have some knowledge and basic skills.⁠ This course is also a part of Jump-Start Academy in pathway 2: Learn a trade and achieve NVQ (necessary to get a blue CSCS card). The intense courses are for those with some experience in Painting & Decorating, Plastering and Tiling. Progress and assessment will be carried out during the training with the assessor⁠. This qualification is for everyone who already has experience of working in commercial or domestic premises using coloured and textured tiles to decorate the inside of buildings, or working on large floor areas.
⁠Candidates must demonstrate the level of knowledge described in the unit. Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification.
Assessment guidance is included to assure consistency. Each candidate is required to produce evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.

– Record of oral and/or written questioning

CURRICULUM – Candidates must complete all of the Mandatory units plus ONE Optional Units.
