OVERVIEW –
The qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification for individuals working in this sector; the aim of the qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence demonstrated by an individual in the workplace.

This qualification is competence-based, candidates must demonstrate the level of competence described in the units. Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s skill, knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification.  The qualifications must be assessed in line with the Construction Sector Qualifications Strategy and must be internally assessed by an appropriately experienced and qualified assessor.

Each candidate is required to produce a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.

  • Installing and Removing Enclosure or Containment Areas for the Removal of Licensed Asbestos Materials in the Workplace
  • Stripping and Removing Licensed Asbestos Materials in the Workplace
Optional Units –
Complete ONE unit
  • Removing materials/deposits by water jetting in the workplace. Unit Endorsements. One of the following endorsements required:
    • Drains and sewers
    • Tubes and pipes
    • Surface cleaning and preparation
  • Cutting and breaking materials by water jetting in the workplace
Pathway 2 : FAÇADE PRESERVATION.
