OVERVIEW –
This qualification is relevant to people who wish to develop a career in the construction and built environment sector working in civil engineering. It is designed to give learners the occupational competence required to carry out Steelfixing in Construction, an essential part of the building and civil engineering projects in the private or public domain, where steel is required to reinforce and/or underpin at the start of the building process.⁠
The aim of this qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence of individuals who specialise in steel fixing in the construction industry.⁠
Each candidate is required to produce evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.

CURRICULUM –
Candidates must demonstrate the level of knowledge described in the unit. Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification. Each candidate is required to produce evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.⁠ Candidates must complete all of the Mandatory units, plus a minimum of TWO Optional units.
