This qualification enables learners to demonstrate their competence and supervise others during asbestos removal works. The learner will need to demonstrate skills, knowledge and understanding of competence in a specialist subject area.
The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Supervising Licensed Asbestos Removal (Construction)
qualification provides provides the opportunity for individuals who supervise others in a
relevant construction occupational area to demonstrate their competence.
CURRICULUM –
To achieve the qualification candidates complete SEVEN Mandatory units, plus TWO
Optional units.
Mandatory Units – complete ALL units
- Confirming work activities and resources for an occupational work area in the workplace
- Developing and maintaining professional working relationships in the workplace
- Confirming the occupational method of work in the workplace
- Implementing and maintaining health, safety and welfare in the workplace
- Co-ordinating and organising work operations in the workplace
- Installing and removing licensed asbestos enclosure or containment areas in the workplace. Unit Endorsements: One of the following endorsements required:
- Enclosure area
- Containment area
- Removing licensed asbestos in the workplace
Optional Units – complete TWO units
- Monitoring progress of work against schedules in the workplace
- Confirming work meets contractual, industry and manufacturers’ standards in the workplace
- Repairing or encapsulating asbestos containing materials in the workplace. Unit Endorsements: One of the following endorsements required
